You know you've made it when they name foodstuff after you

Osmo has his bobble-arm doll, but Gustavo Dudamel (incoming music director of the LA Philharmonic) ups the ante by getting his own hot dog. I may have to alter my life goal to getting a sushi roll named after me...

Where is this???
Pink's Hot Dogs, in LA, of course!!
This is nothing. Minneapolis's Staccato restaurant, just across Marquette Ave from Orchestra Hall, has been serving the Osmo Cosmo for years now. If memory serves, it's Finlandia vodka with cranberry juice and a twist.
Walking by the storefront display window of Macy's the other day, I could have sworn the mannequin was wearing a pair of Vanksa Pantska.
And Sarah, the foodie in me is curious: If it were up to you, what ingredients would be in the Sarah Roll?

hmmmmm....well, if it were to be a nod to my home State, it would be opakapaka (Hawaiian pink snapper) with macadamia "pesto", or maybe a little mango and green chile salsa. I don't really know what roll would "represent" me (so much for the power of self reflection, huh?), but maybe it would be natto (fermented soy beans), yamaimo (mountain yam) and shiso (an herb also known as perilla), simply because I'm the only person I know who would eat such a combination!!
Oh, I don't know if it's such a great thing for Gustavo Dudamel to have a hot dog named after him, especially with American AND Swiss cheese....the choice of a "hot dog" for any conductor brings to mind the possibility of turning it into a negative commentary on stick technique.....and Elvis.
